The Roma's Story
The first Roma's Pizzeria on Franklin Blvd in Sacramento, CA was opened in 1973 by Angelo Guerrera. After a few years, Angelo became allergic to flour and needed to retire from the pizza business. Angelo sold the restaurant to his brother Giuseppe Guerrera, his wife Maria and Maria's brother Pietro Pozzuto and wife Antonietta. Giuseppe and Maria had recently moved to the area from Napa where they co-owned Napoli Pizzeria in Vallejo, CA.
The Guerrera family immigrated to the US in the late 60's from Carlantino, Italy, a small town bordering Roma, Italy. They were eager to bring traditional dishes to their restaurant. With great love and dedication, the family established a reputation for outstanding pizza, pasta, and soup, winning "Best Pizza in Sacramento County" on several occasions.
In 1981 the Guerrera's opened Roma #2 on Folsom Blvd and began to teach their children (Tony, Mario and Claudia) the fine secrets of Italian cooking and work ethics of the Old World.
In 1994 Tony and his wife Christina opened Roma's III in Folsom, CA. They have worked hard to establish a positive reputation in the growing area and have enjoyed the friendships they have made along the way.
All three Roma's Pizzeria's are operated today by family members. The family takes pride in serving and knowing generations of customers. According to Tony, "It is a great pleasure to see the same customers over the years and watch their children grow and come in. It's like having an extended family". Our hope is to bring the same quality product and service that our customers have known and loved for over 30 years.

Tony and Christina at Roma's Pizza are the best. We have known them personally and professionally since they opened their business about 15 years ago. Their pizzas, lasagna, pasta and other specialties are delicious whether enjoyed at the restaurant, as take-out or delivery.
I have used Roma's several times to cater events ranging from 10 to 150 people. The number of guest has never been too small or too large. Tony ensures all the proper side items, such as cheese, red peppers, napkins, etc. are available and plentiful. He and his staff make the catering easy as he does it all from preparation to clean-up! On occasion, Tony has opened his store at 2:00am to accommodate my special catering needs. This has allowed my graveyard shift employees the chance to enjoy the culinary art of Roma's pizza and pasta at 9:00am prior to going off shift. This was often done over a holiday, such as Christmas Eve morning.
Roma's service has always been great. Tony and Christina's steps to go the extra mile to meet the customer's catering needs has been superb. The food, whether it‘s the lasagna, pasta and meatballs, the variety of different pizzas or other specialties has been delicious and gratifying for all of my employees. From a professional standpoint, the value and quality of the food, along with the level of service is competitive and superlative.

I call Roma's Pizzeria III quite often for catering our company-wide lunch screenings. Their prices are reasonable, and their food is fresh and tasty (pizzas, salads, pastas). They are able to accommodate our special seating requirements and, are so eager to please, that they have catered for me on a day they're usually closed! You will receive excellent customer service from owner, Tony, and his delivery staff. I'm so glad to have a caterer like Roma's III, who consistently provides high-quality food and service!
